History Games-Playtime Time Machine

Pressley Meeting Room

Travel back in time and experience some frontier life by trying your hand at fun games from the past. The library will host Will Howard’s 1830s games, run by Historical Reenactor George Rollow. From quick challenges to friendly competitions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Games will include Nine-Pin Bowling, Captain’s Mistress (similar to connect four), Royal Skittles (a spinning top game), Mill (a strategy board game), and more! Drop in, play, and discover some “new” favorite games from long ago! You may even run into some fun characters from old-time Bastrop. Children under 8 will need an adult present to assist them. We look forward to seeing you there!

Historical Garments
