The City of Bastrop Public Works Department strives to provide essential services to the citizens of Bastrop. Communications and responses will be timely, compassionate and courteous, efficient, and with safety as a high priority.  Public Works, through its skilled employees, strives to maintain current public infrastructure and plan for future needs for present and succeeding generations.

City of Bastrop employees and citizens form a partnership to make our city a safe and comfortable place to live, work, and play. If you see a problem or concern related to the Public Works Department (potholes, downed street sign etc.), please report it so a work order can be generated. Please include as much detail as needed.

PUBLIC NOTICE:

The City of Bastrop Transfer Station is permanently closed as of 10/28/16.

Friday, October 28th, 2016 was the last day operation for the City Transfer Station. The decision to close the transfer station was made by City Council 10/11/2016. Follow the links below for alternative transfer and dump stations. 

Please be advised that each landfill/transfer station has different policies regarding items and pricing.
