General Information

Unless otherwise specified, all public hearings take place at City Hall, located at:

1311 Chestnut Street

Bastrop, Tx 78602

Some public hearings require a mailed notice to property owners surrounding the project, such as changes in zoning.

Active Cases Requiring Public Hearing

The Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 1311 Chestnut Street, Bastrop, Texas and City Council will conduct a public hearing (first reading) Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. and (second reading) Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 1311 Chestnut Street, Bastrop, Texas on the following requests:

Conduct a public hearing, consider and act on the request to amend the Comprehensive Plan to change the Future Land Use designation from Neighborhood Residential to Residential Mix Density for the area being described as 0.4310 +/- acres out of the Building Block 12, east of Water Street, located at 1005 Pecan Street Bastrop, TX 78602. This development is more commonly known as Pecan Place.

Conduct a public hearing, consider and act on the request for a Zoning Concept Scheme to rezone the project site from P3 Residential to P4 Mix for the area described as being 0.4310 +/- acres out of the Building Block 12, east of Water Street, located at 1005 Pecan Street Bastrop, TX 78602. This development is more commonly known as Pecan Place.
