PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS AND CODIFICATION AS CHAPTER 10
The City of Bastrop will conduct a public hearing to consider adoption of an ordinance that would amend, reorganize, and codify the City’s subdivision regulations as Chapter 10 (Subdivision Regulations) of the City of Bastrop Code of Ordinances.
The proposed amendments include, among other non-substantive edits for codification:
1) removal of B3 Code specific terminology and references (including place type references) to align with the adopted of the new Bastrop Development Code;
2) removal of civic space requirements;
3) removal of street tree requirements;
4) removal of public bicycle parking infrastructure requirements;
5) revisions to minimum alley pavement width and alley right-of-way width standards; and
6) removal of street cross section illustrations.
These subdivision regulations apply to land within the City’s subdivision jurisdiction, including the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ), as applicable.
Public hearings are scheduled as follows:
Planning and Zoning Commission Public Hearing: Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 6pm, at Bastrop City Hall located at 1311 Chestnut Street.
City Council First Reading: Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 6:30pm, at Bastrop City Hall located at 1311 Chestnut Street.
City Council Second Reading and Final Action: Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 6:30pm, at Bastrop City Hall located at 1311 Chestnut Street.”
