City Council Election Information

CITY OF BASTROP MAY 4, 2024 ELECTION 


Requirements for filing for candidacy:

 

• Must be a registered voter in the State of Texas at the time of filing application for place on the ballot
• Shall be a resident of the City of Bastrop
• Shall have resided within the corporate limits of the City of Bastrop for at least one year preceding the election date of May 4, 2024
• Shall not have been convicted of a felony criminal offense or crime involving moral turpitude and shall not be in violation of any other provision in the charter.


First Day to file for a place on the ballot – January 17, 2024


Last Day to file for a place on the ballot – February 16, 2024 by 5:00 p.m.
