The City of Bastrop is updating the Bastrop Building Block (B3) Code to address concerns about its impact on residential neighborhoods. These changes aim to preserve the character and quality of our community.
Key updates include:
- Focus on P2 (Rural) & P3 (Neighborhood) areas.
- Adding minimum lot sizes (where none currently exist) and setbacks (to match the surrounding area).
- Removing duplexes from traditionally single-family areas.
Join the conversation at upcoming public meetings:
- Planning & Zoning Commission: February 17 & 24, 2025 (5 PM)
- City Council Meetings: March 4 & 11, 2025 (6:30 PM)
All meetings are at the Bastrop Convention Center, 1408 Chestnut St.
