Foster and Adoption Fire Safety Inspection
The Fire Marshal conducts Fire and Life Safety inspections for Foster and Adoption homes. The State regulations require that persons applying for approval to become Foster or Adoptive parents, receive a fire safety inspection of the home. The Fire Marshal provides a Foster/Adoption checklist. This check list is used as a helpful guide to eliminate any unsafe areas or items before an inspection is completed to save time and re-inspection costs.
All inspection request must be submitted through the online MyGov portal. The City Council adopted an $75.00 inspection fee that must be paid before the inspection is scheduled. For more information or to request and inspection click on the link below.
