These rates will be applicable to all sales or service of water within the corporate limits of the city.

NOTE:  Effective March 24, 2020 the City of Bastrop Council passed Ordinance No. 2020-05, increasing the Minimum Charge from $36.97 to $41.97.  The fee was applied to utility bills for billing period ending April 29, 2020

Updates to apply to Code of Ordinances within permissible time allowed

City of Bastrop Code of Ordinances Fees:  Sec. A13.02.002 - Wastewater service charge.

(a) These rates are applicable to all residential, multifamily and commercial retail wastewater customers within the corporate limits of the city who have metered water connections and to whom city wastewater service has actually been connected, except for customers who have a city-approved, on-site sewer system, septic system or other on-site wastewater system, and have not connected to the city's wastewater system, or customers who have a water meter for irrigation use only, as long as the irrigation meter does not provide water to plumbing fixtures.

** Generation charge is equal to the amount per KWH that is calculated monthly to reflect the amounts charged the city by its power provider that is not covered in the monthly customer and wires charges listed in this fee schedule. This calculation will be made by the city on an ongoing basis, from month to month, and the generation charge passed through to the consumer will be based on the city's cost. Generation charge is equal to the total charges billed by the city's wholesale power provider divided by the total KWH measured/metered by all customers except "key account customers" for the ensuing month times the electric consumption for each customer.
