Disconnecting Utility Services
To stop billing, you must request disconnection through Billing & Customer Service.
- Account holders remain responsible for charges until service is disconnected or transferred.
- Landlords cannot request disconnection on your behalf.
- Unpaid balances over 60 days may go to collections.
To request disconnection:
Email utilities@cityofbastrop.org with:
- Name & Service Address
- Phone & ID/DL Number
- Forwarding Address
- Disconnection Date
Or visit 600 Spring Street during business hours.
