logo
The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report includes a complete set of financial statements in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and audited in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards by a firm of licensed certified public accountants. The purpose of this report is to provide council, management, staff, the public and other interested parties with detailed information regarding the City's financial condition.

The City financial records have been audited by Pattillo, Brown & Hill, LLP as required by the City Charter and Financial Management Policies adopted by City Council. This comprehensive Annual Report has been prepared based upon those audited records. The goal of the independent audit was to provide reasonable assurance that the financial statements of the City are free of material misstatement.

This independent audit involved examining, on a test-basis, evidence supporting the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements assessing the accounting principles used and significant estimates made by management and evaluating the overall financial statement presentation. The independent auditor concluded based upon the audit that there was a reasonable basis for rendering an unqualified opinion that the City financial statements for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2015 are fairly presented in conformity with GAAP.

The Mission of the City of Bastrop is to continuously strive to provide innovative and proactive services that enhance our authentic way of life to achieve our vision.
