Kevin Plunkett
Born in Hillsboro, Texas, Kevin and his wife Angela moved to Bastrop with their three children in 2013. Soon after arriving they purchased two restaurants in downtown Bastrop, which provided them an amazing opportunity to get involved in the community.
He has served on the boards of several non-profit and city organizations since arriving, including the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, Visit Bastrop, and the Bastrop Economic Development Corporation.
Mr. Plunkett chose to run for city council because he sees the growth coming to the community and realizes the need for good judgment and experience in setting policy that will have a huge impact on how Bastrop grows in the future. He wants to see Bastrop become an example of how to do development right - by implementing policies that improve the quality of life for all Bastropians.
Outside interests include cycling, traveling, all sorts of outdoor activities, and spending time with his family, especially taking them to Aggie football games.
