Libby eBooks Instructions

Format:  ebooks and eaudiobooks

Check-out time:  13 days

Check-out amount:  5 titles at a time

Available on any device you can download apps onto (i.e. Android, iPhone)

• Go to your app store (i.e. iTunes, Google Playstore, Amazon Appstore)
• Type in "Libby by Overdrive" and install
• Tap to open the app

Libby will ask a few question to guide you to your library.  Let Libby guess your library. If it is Central Texas Digital Consortium/Bastrop Public Library, tap "This is my library".

• Sign into your Central Texas Digital Consortium account - choose Bastrop Public Library
• Enter your library card number
• Enter your phone number (no dashes)
• Tap "next"
• Answer Libby's remaining question
• You're ready to checkout books

To access ebooks via Overdrive/Libby, you must have a library card with us. You can obtain a library card online or in-person at the Circulation Desk. 

SimplyE eBooks

Format:  ebooks

Available on any device you can download apps onto (i.e. Android, iPhone)

• Go to your app store (i.e. iTunes, Google Playstore)

• Type in "SimplyE" and install

• Tap to open
• "Find Your Library"
• Scroll and select "Bastrop Public Library"; tap on it
• Tap on "Settings" in the lower right corner
• Select "Accounts" then "Bastrop Public Library"
• Enter library car number and phone number.
• Tap "log in"
• To exit settings, tap on the "my books" icon at the bottom of the screen
• Select the building icon in the upper left corner to reveal more options

• Bastrop Public Library - ebooks from our Libby/OverDrive collection that are available to read in the SimplyE app. 
  • Tap the "building icon" at the bottom on the left of the screen.
  • Tap the magnifying glass at the top of the right side of the screen to search for a title OR
  • Browse
• The SimplyE Collection - ebooks in the SimplyE collection.  No eaudiobooks are available.
  • Enter your birth year
  • Tap "next"
  • Tap the "magnifying glass at the top of the right side of the screen to search for a title OR
  • Browse
  • Unlimited check-outs
  • Unlimited time
