COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
MITIGATION (CDBG-MIT) PROGRAM
The City of Bastrop is giving notice of the City's intent to submit an application to the Texas General Land Office (GLO) for a Texas Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Regional Method of Distribution (MOD) Program. The proposed grant application is for the following project(s) in Bastrop, Texas.
- Blakely Ln Road, Drainage, Water, and Sewer Improvements
The City will request public comments for fourteen (14) days from the date of this posting. The public is encouraged to submit comments that will assist the City in evaluating the proposed project(s) that will help the City recover from disasters, mitigate the devastating effects of natural disasters, as well ensure the project(s) are in line with environmental regulations, affirmatively further fair housing activities, and, if applicable, minimizing displacement of persons by project activities.
Upon the expiration of this comment period the City will review and address the public comments in the proposed application prior to application submission in May 2024.

NOTICE TO VENDORS
Request for Proposals (RFP) for Solid Waste and Recycling Services
Notice is hereby given that the City of Bastrop, Texas, is now calling for sealed proposals in response to, a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Solid Waste and Recycling Services.
The RFP specifications may be obtained below on this page, by contacting Ann Franklin, City Secretary, at afranklin@cityofbastrop.org; or from City Hall, 1311 Chestnut Street, Bastrop Texas 78602.
Proposals must be submitted on the forms included in the RFP. Each proposal shall be placed in a separate sealed envelope, marked clearly on the outside as “"RFP FOR SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING SERVICES", and must be received no later than THURSDAY, May 30, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Central Time to the address as follows:

Received proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Central Time at Bastrop City Hall, 1311 Chestnut Street, Bastrop, Texas 78602. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals for any and/or all products and/or services covered in the RFP. The City further reserves the right to waive informalities or defects in proposals, or to accept such proposals as it shall deem to be in the best interests of the City, based on the best value criteria set forth in the RFP.
