BOIL WATER NOTICE RESCINDED FOR ZONES 1 & 3 >>
ZONE 2 REMAINS UNDER BOIL WATER NOTICE.

Effective immediately, the Boil Water Notice has been rescinded, or lifted, for City of Bastrop water customers in Zone 1 (between the Colorado River and State Highway 95) and Zone 3 (everyone west of the Colorado River.) Zone 2 (east of SH 95 and southeast of MLK@SH 71) REMAINS UNDER BOIL WATER NOTICE. Public Works is still awaiting full pressure to return to the Zone 2 lines, hopes to submit environmental quality control tests tomorrow, and the earliest we are expecting the Boil Notice to be lifted in Zone 2 is Monday.

February 20, 2021
On February 18, 2021, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Bastrop public water system, PWS 0110001, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of February 20, 2021.
