Jimmy Crouch


A native Texan, Jimmy moved to Bastrop in 2013. He was born in Lockhart and has lived in Odessa, Houston, Plano and Salt Lake City. He attended SWTSU, Odessa College, Houston Community College, Utah Valley Community College and Red Rocks Community College for continuing education in his chosen field of construction. He has built significant projects in 12 States with budgets up to $300M over a 40-year career. He is currently a small business owner and taxpayer in the city of Bastrop.

 

He has been involved with several City Boards including The Construction Standards Board, The Parks Board (on 2 separate occasions) and the Zoning Board of Adjustments.

 

His knowledge and experience in the commercial construction field will help tremendously in the next phase of Bastrop’s growth. He has built for major companies such as HEB, Coca-Cola, USACE, Living Spaces Furniture and The University of Utah among others. He has had the privilege to be part of the team that built the Lost Pines Art Center and the new 921 Main Street building here in Bastrop. Working on these projects has given him an opportunity to see what building processes work within the City of Bastrop Building Departments. He is also a current member of the Greater Austin Home Builders Association.

 

Outside interests include a variety of sports including golf, hunting and biking. He has completed riding over 30,000 miles and is interested in developing the biking community in Bastrop. His immediate family also lives in Bastrop and kids and grand kids are scattered within Texas and Utah.
