Bastrop County Teen Court normally convenes twice monthly - on the first Monday and Tuesday (falling together on the calendar).  If there is an extra heavy referral load, we may elect to have a third term, which will be determined by the coordinator.

Teen Court takes place on the second floor of the Bastrop County Courthouse at 804 Pecan Street (not the new courthouse) and all defendants, witnesses, jurors, and attorneys must arrive by 6:00 pm to sign in.  Court begins promptly at 6:30 pm.

No defendant, parent, juror, or court personnel will be allowed in the courtroom with any sort of weapon, which means pocketknives or anything else that could be used in a harmful way.  We have screening with a wand that will detect any metal object, and it will be taken if found and held at the desk until court is over.  Cell phones that are activated are not allowed in the court room, and if they cause disruption, they will be taken up until court is over.
