Sidewalk of Stars Handprints Project

On Friday, May 31, 2002, Matt Woerndell went to Wal-Mart to photograph Country Music Artist Tracy Byrd as he contributed his handprints to our Sidewalk of Stars Project. Former City Councilwoman Clara Maynard and her husband Billy, Violet John of Texas Mercantile and Susan Wendel, the new President of the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, are pictured with Tracy. Monty Blackmon, Director of the City of Bastrop Public Works, is also shown below holding our new treasure. Tracy Byrd was also presented with a Key to the City of Bastrop.
