Shane
B. Kasper, Corporal and Patrol Officer
Hi!
My name is Shane Kasper. I am from the small town of Warda, Texas.
I graduated from La Grange High School in 1997. I started my college
studies at Blinn College in Schulenburg, then transferred to Sam
Houston State University to get my Bachelor of Art degree in Criminal
Justice. I graduated from Sam Houston in December 2002.
While attending
college, I started my career in criminal justice working as a Residential
Supervisor at Bastrop County Restitution Center in Elgin. I started
there in July 2000, and worked there until the facility shut down
in July 2003. Soon after that, I became a Juvenile Probation Officer
for Bastrop County, where I worked until I joined the Texas Police
Corps in Huntsville in July 2004. After graduating from the Police
Corps, I went back to work for Juvenile Probation until I was hired
on for Bastrop Police Department in June 2005.
Bastrop Police
Department has finally made my dream come true of becoming a Police
Officer. I am proud to be one of Bastrop's Finest and to serve and
protect the City of Bastrop.
