| Chief of Police David L. Board |
The Office of Chief of Police serves as the central administration
for the operations of the Police Department and its 22 full
and part time employees. The Chief's Office is responsible
for preparing and administering an annual budget of 1.259
million dollars. David L. Board was promoted
to Chief of Police April 22, 2002, and has served the Department
and community for the past 18 years.

| Lieutenant Matthew
Wagner |
Lieutenant Matthew Wagner, second in
command of the Department, assists Chief
Board and supervises the Patrol and Detective
Divisions. Bonnie Trujillo, Administrative
Assistant to the Chief, assisted with the
day-to-day operations of the Department.
After serving the department for 18 years,
Bonnie retired on December 31, 2003 to spend
more time with her husband.
The Office of Chief of Police is responsible for the day-to-day
law enforcement operations, budgeting, planning, training,
crime prevention, hiring/separations, payroll, maintaining
and preparing crime statistics, coordinating building and
vehicle maintenance, equipment and supply purchases, special
guest appearances, and more.
The Internal Affairs Unit created in 1997 consists of the
lieutenant and two patrol sergeants who report directly
to the Chief of Police. The Internal Affairs Unit is responsible
for maintaining proper police procedures, high standards
and the integrity of the officers and agency. This unit
is also responsible for reviews of all policies and procedures.
