THURSDAY, APRIL 24, 2008

The City of Bastrop Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the Bastrop City Council Chambers, 904 Main Street, Bastrop, Texas.

(The Commission may, at any time, recess the Regular Session to convene in Executive Session at the request of the Chair, a Commissioner, the Planning Director, or legal counsel for any purpose authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.)

4. Approval of the March 24, 2008 meeting minutes.

5. Presentation- Historic Landmark Commission will provide a brief presentation on Historic Preservation efforts in the City of Bastrop.

6. Z08-07: Public Hearing: Discussion and possible action on a request to rezone approximately 0.319 of an acre out of Building Block 3, commonly known as 803 College Street, from O, Office District to GR, General Retail. The property is located on the southeast corner of Water and College Streets and adjacent to Gutierrez Street in the city limits of Bastrop, Texas.

    i. Open Public Hearing

    ii. Close Public Hearing

    iii. Commission deliberation and possible action on request for a zone change of 0.319 of an acre out of the Building Block 3 from Office (O) to General Retail (GR).

7. CUP08-01: Public Hearing: Discussion and possible action on request for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a four bedroom Bed and Breakfast in a single family residence located at 1508 Church Street commonly known as the Orgain Mansion, a Texas Historical Medallion Building and on the National Register of Historic Places. The subject property is approximately 1.006 acres out of Farm Lot 2 west of Main Street, located at the southwest corner of Church and Cedar Streets, in an area zoned SF-7 Single Family Residential in the city limits of Bastrop, Texas.

    iii. Commission deliberation and possible action on the request for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a four bedroom Bed and Breakfast at 1508 Church Street, 1.006 acres out of Farm Lot 2 in an area zoned SF-7 in the City limits of Bastrop, Texas.

 

8. Discussion regarding the City of Bastrop’s Bed and Breakfast Ordinance.

9. Discussion and possible action to schedule joint special meeting with Parks Boards regarding update to the Parkland Dedication requirements of the Subdivision Ordinance.

10. Discussion regarding the Monthly Report prepared by the Planning and Development Department.
