2006 Ordinances
Ordinance No. 2006-1 An ordinance which shall constitute an order by the City of Bastrop , Texas ("City") to require Centerpoint energy Entex ("Entex") to cease and desist from charging illegal and unlawful rates and requiring refunds; to require the filing of a report with regard to costs expended by Entex in connection with the appeal of Ordinance No. 2005-34.
Ordinance No. 2006-2 An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Bastrop, Texas, amending the City of Bastrop, Texas Personnel Policies Manual of May 2005, Chapter 4, "Performance Evaluation & Compensation, Section 7: "Overtime and Compensation Time" to adopt a 14-day alternative work period for designated police officers and set overtime for these officers pursuant to FLSA standards.
Ordinance No. 2006-3 An ordinance amending Article 12 "Appendix "A" (Zoning Ordinance) of the Bastrop City Code pertaining to exterior construction requirements to allow metal as an exterior treatment.
Ordinance No. 2006-4 An ordinance granting a request for a conditional use permit to allow a home occupation be located in an area zoned Single Family Residential - 7 District "SF-7", detailing conditions related thereto.
Ordinance No. 2006-5 An ordinance granting a request to rezone property, to change the zoning classification for a 2.1694 +/- acre tract of land out of building block 107 East of Water Street generally located at 701 Hwy 95, Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas from an area zoned "C-2"- Commercial - 2 District (heavy) to an area zoned "GR"- General Retail District.
Ordinance No. 2006-6 An ordinance granting a request to rezone property to change the zoning classification of a 5.0882 +/- acre tract of land out of building blocks 106 and 115 East of Water Street, generally located at 701 Hwy 95, Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas from an area zoned "C-2" - Commercial -2 District (Heavy) to an area zoned "GR" - General Retail District.
Ordinance No. 2006-7 An ordinance granting a request to rezone property to change the zoning classification of a 11.225 +/- acre tract of land out of building blocks 114, 128, 129, and 130 East of Water Street, generally locate at 701 Hwy 95, Bastrop , Bastrop, Bastrop county, Texas from an area zoned "C-2" - Commercial -2 District (Heavy) and "SF-20" - Single Family Residential - 20 District to an area zoned "MF-2" - Multiple-Family - 2 District.
Ordinance No. 2006-7A An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Bastrop, Texas, reviewing Article 7.200 "Curfew for Minors" in Chapter 7 of the City Code of Ordinances, entitled "Offenses & Nuisances"; continuing the Article.
Ordinance No. 2006-8 An ordinance granting a request for a conditional use permit to allow a contractor's yard with outdoor equipment storage over 8 feet in height and a helipad (no fuel storage) in an area zoned "L I," Light Industrial located in the City limits of Bastrop, Texas; detailing conditions related thereto.
Ordinance No. 2006-9 An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Bastrop, Texas adding Section 10.409 to the Code of Ordinances to restrict left turns from Chestnut Street to Alley "A" and Alley "B" and from Alley "A" and Alley "B" onto Chestnut Street.
Ordinance No. 2006-10 An ordinance granting a request to correct the property description in a warranty deed dated April 15, 1853 filed with the County Clerk, Bastrop County, wherein the town of Bastrop conveyed a tract of lnad by ordinance to Robert A. Rutherford.
Ordinance No. 2006-11 An ordinance annexing a sparsely occupied 1.7261 (+/-) acre tract of land out of the Nancy Blakey Survey, Abstract No. 98, being known as lot 9, lot 10, and lot 11, Settlement on the Colorado Subdivision, in Bastrop County, Texas, on petition of area landowner, David Muralt, Trustee, pursuant to section 43.028 of the local government code.
Ordinance No. 2006-12 An ordinance granting a request to rezone property from an area zoned "AOS" Agricultural - Open Space District to an area zoned "GR" General Retail District for a 1.7261 +/- acre tract of land out of lots 9, 10, & 11 in the Settlement on the Colorado Subdivision, generally located at 150 Settlement Drive, Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas.
Ordinance No. 2006-13 An ordinance amending the budget for the fiscal year 2006 in accordance with existing statutory requirements.
Ordinance No. 2006-14 An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Bastrop, Texas amending Chapter 10, Traffic Control, of the City of Bastrop code of Ordinances, City of Bastrop, Texas adding article 10.900, prohibiting certain motor vehicle idling.
Ordinance No. 2006-15 An ordinance by the City of Bastrop, Texas ("City") to adopt a settlement between the city and Centerpoint Energy Entex ("Centerpoint") with regard to Centerpoint's statement of intent to increase rates which was filed on June 30, 2005 and updated on September 21, 2005; authorizing the repeal of ordinances and resolutions to the extent they are inconsistent with the settlement.
Ordinance No. 2006-16 Authorizing the vacating and abandonment and transfer of a portion of Pine Street and/or public rights-of-way, or a portion thereof.
Ordinance No. 2006-17 An ordinance granting a request for a conditional use permit from the First Baptist Church to allow for the use of a church and an accessory building on approximately 1.09 acres in an area zoned "SF-7" Single Family Residential within the city limits of Bastrop, Texas.
Ordinance No. 2006-18  An ordinance granting a request to rezone an area zoned "MF2" Multi Family to zoning designation "C-1" - Commercial (Light) a +/- 4.0830 acre tract generally located at South Hasler and Marie Street, Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas.
Ordinance No. 2006-19 An ordinance granting a request to rezone an area zoned "I-P" - Industrial Park to zoning designation "C-1" Commercial (Light) A +/- 0.5900 acre tract and a +/- 4.7190 acre tract north of Highway 71 East generally located at 2620 Highway 71 East, Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas.
Ordinance No. 2006-20 An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Bastrop, Texas, providing for the annexation of certain territory consisting of the following properties in Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas: parcels 1 - 8 in detail. Ordinance No. 2006-21 An ordinance revoking and replacing Chapter 3, Article 3.1400 ET SEQ, of the Bastrop City Code of Ordinances, related to the sign ordinance.
Ordinance No. 2006-22 An ordinance modifying the contractual rates paid to Allied Waste Services for residential and commercial garbage collection service by Allied Waste Services.
Ordinance No. 2006-23 An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Bastrop, Texas amending Chapter 10, Traffic Control, of the City of Bastrop Code of Ordinances, City of Bastrop, Texas adding Article 10.900, prohibiting certain motor vehicle idling.
Resolution No. R 2006- 24a A resolution granting the consent of the City of Bastrop,Texas, to the creation of West Bastrop Villasge Municipal Utility District.

Ordinance No. 2006-25 An ordinance ratifying previously adopted City Ordinance No. 98-42 as amended, related to the HP, Historic Preservation Overlay Sections of Exhibit A, Chapter 12, Zoning Ordinance, of the City of Bastrop Code of Ordinances of 1995, as amended; creating the Bastrop Historic Landmark Commission.
Ordinance No. 2006-26 An ordinance amending "Schedule V: School Zones" of the Bastrop City Code - Chapter 10, Traffic Control: Section 10.406, to include an additional school zone on Hawthorn Street between State Highway 95 and Hill Streets.
Ordinance No. 2006-27 An ordinance adopting a budget for the ensuing fiscal year beginning October 1, 2006 and ending September 30, 2007, in accordinance with existing statutory requirements.

Ordinance No. 2006-30 An ordinance annexing a sparsely occupied 8.871 (+/-) acre tract of land out of the Nancy Blakey Survey, Abstract No. 98, in Bastrop County, Texas, on petition to Section 43.028 of the local government code.
Ordinance No. 2006-31 An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Bastrop, Texas amending Section 10.604 of the Code of Ordinances to establish a two (2) hour parking zone on the east side of Pecan street, between Chestnut Street and Walnut Street; directing that signs be erected to reflect this change.
Ordinance No. 2006-32 An ordinance annexing a sparsely occupied 43.112 (+/-) acre tract of land out of the Nancy Blakey Survey, Abstract No. 98, in Bastrop County, Texas, on petition of area landowner, CHP Properties, LTD, pursuant to section 43.028 of the local government code.
Ordinance No. 2006-35 Ordinance authorizing the issuance of $215,000 City of Bastrop, Texas Limited Tax Note Series 2006.
