AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BASTROP, TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME OF PINE HOLLOW DRIVE TO MAJESTIC PINE DRIVE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the present name of Pine Hollow Drive causes confusion with Pinehollow Drive located northeast of the City off of East Highway 21 in Pine Hill Estates, and
WHEREAS, Pine Hollow Drive south of Phase 1 of the Lakeside Plat is un-opened, and
WHEREAS, there are no structures located along Pine Hollow Drive with a Pine Hollow Drive address and where the majority of Pine Hollow Drive is an unopened street, and
WHEREAS, there are existing homes or other structures located on Pinehollow Drive with Pinehollow Drive addresses, and
WHEREAS, the roadway is located within that area of the City in which the Loblolly Pine is native.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Bastrop, Texas, that:
Part 1: Findings of Fact.
The findings and recitations set out above in the preamble of this Ordinance are found to be true and correct and that they are hereby adopted by the City Council and made a part hereof for all purposes.
Part 2: Changing the Street Names of Certain Streets.
The City Council of the City of Bastrop hereby changes the name of Pine Hollow Drive to Majestic Pine Drive. That Section 4.40 of the Subdivision Ordinance (Chapter 10, "Exhibit A") of the Bastrop City Code of Ordinances be amended to read as follows:
Part 3:All ordinances and resolutions, or parts of ordinances and resolutions, in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed, and are no longer of any force and effect. If any provision of this ordinance or application thereof to any person or circumstance shall be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions, or application thereof, of this ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are hereby declared to be severable.
Part 4:This Ordinance shall become effective in accordance with the City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.
