AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING
A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2003 AND
ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2004, IN ACCORDANCE WITH EXISTING STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS;
APPROPRIATING THE VARIOUS AMOUNTS HEREIN; REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES
AND ACTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,
the City Manager of the City of Bastrop has submitted to the Mayor
and Council a proposed budget of the revenues and expenditures/expenses
of conducting the affairs of said city and providing a complete financial
plan for Fiscal Year 2003/2004; and,
WHEREAS,
the Mayor and Council have now provided for and conducted a public
hearing on the budget as provided by law. Now, Therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BASTROP, BASTROP COUNTY, TEXAS:
That the proposed budget
for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2003 and ending September
30, 2004, as submitted to the City Council by the City Manager and
which budget is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" is hereby
adopted and approved as the budget of all revenue and expenditures/expenses
of said city for Fiscal Year 2003-2004: and
Ordinance and prior actions
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed; and
This Ordinance shall be
and remain in full force and effect from and after its final passage
and publication in accordance with existing statutory requirements,
and
This Ordinance shall become
effective October 1, 2003.
READ and APPROVED on First
Reading on the 26th day of August 2003.
READ and ADOPTED on Second Reading on the 9th day of September 2003.
