Welcome to the Bastrop Volunteer Fire Department

Our Organization is a State Chartered, Non-profit, Corporation that specializes in Fire/Rescue related activities. Our member-firefighters  are volunteers committed to excellence, professionalism, and service to our customers and the communities where we live.

We provide fire/rescue protection to over 117 square miles of central Bastrop county from two City owned and supported fire houses, one fire house owned by the Circle D Property Owners, and one fire house owned by the Corporation.

All of our operations outside of the City of Bastrop are supported by Bastrop County Emergency Service District #2. We are proud members of the Bastrop County Fire Fighters Association and the State Firemans and Fire Marshals Association of Texas.

Our volunteer fire fighters are part-time heroes giving selflessly to their community. In return we receive full time appreciation from our neighbors, friends, and families, and joy in the knowledge, we are making our community a safer and better place to live.
