Candidates’ packet available at the Office of the City Secretary
Election information packets are available at the Office of the City Secretary for anyone interested in filing an application for a place on the City of Bastrop general election ballot.
The positions of Mayor, Place 2 and Place 4 will be voted on May 10, 2008. The last day to file for a place on the ballot for City Council is March 10, 2008 at 5 p.m.
Following is the City Secretary deadlines for the May 10, 2008 general election:
• February 9 - First day candidates may file application for place on ballot
• March 10 - Last day for candidate to file application - Deadline 5 p.m.
• April 28 - First day for early voting by personal appearance.
• May 6 - Last day for regular early voting by personal appearance.
• May 10 - ELECTION DAY.
Election information packets may be picked up at the Office of the City Secretary, 904 Main Street, Bastrop, Texas.
