Explorers Post # 850

What is Exploring?
The Law Enforcement Exploring Program, a youth program affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America, provides the means through which young men and women may decide, through actual experience, if they would like to pursue a law enforcement career as adults. The program provides young people with opportunity for community involvement and develops a greater sense of understanding between the community and local law enforcement agencies. The Explorers are a volunteer, non-funded resource for the Bastrop Police Department, providing additional personnel for its many successful crime prevention and community service projects and displays.
