This week at the Lumberyard:
Friday, June 10, the Lumberyard Music Hall is pleased to present - Slim Bawb! Here's what ReverbNation has to say about him, "Slim Bawb is Bob Pearce, leader of the Beer Dawgs, a Sacramento California band for 20 years. The Beer Dawgs were inducted into the Sacramento Music Hall of Fame in 1991 and put out 10 CDs, as well as playing 5 nights a week around Northern California. Bawb moved to Texas in 2006 and, after playing pedal steel with the Texas Sapphires for a couple years, started doing shows with ex-Beer Dawg James Curry on drums (formally of Blue Cheer)as Slim Bawb & GatorBait. They put out 2 CDs 'Hillbilly Fellini' and (double CD) 'Calexiana' since. As of May 1st Ron Sherrod will be drumming with Bawb...it's only gonna get 'swampier'!"
You won't want to miss this opportunity to see and hear this dynamic performer! Joined by fantastic drummer Ron Sherrod, Jeff Brister on a bit of trumpet, and who knows what else, the show promises good clean fun for a night of music and dancing.
Snacks and drinks are available for sale and you may BYOB. Music starts at 8:30 p.m. with a $7 cover. The Lumberyard Music Hall is located at 1109 Main St. in lovely downtown Bastrop. Call 321-PLAY for more details or inquiries. See you there!
