Organization Committee
- Expand volunteer recruitment & retention programs
- Devise fundraising strategies
- Promote partnership development locally
- Advise/assist in the enhancement of the Main Street Program web page
- Develop a Bastrop Web portal to connect web sites of interest to tourists, developers, residents, etc.
- Encourage community participation in THC's year-long Visionaries in Preservation program
Economic Restructuring Committee
- Work to implement a TIF zone and other tax incentive programs
- Build a relationship with County officials to encourage participation in tax relief programs
- Continue to offer the low interest loan progam and invite other Banks to join
- Research possible grant programs
- Implement a buyer gift card program
- Grow the mystery shopper program
- Develop & implement a small business recruitment program
Promotions Committee
- Develop a "new business" recognition program for the downtown area
- Conduct a series of "fam tours" for new hotels and developers to help with Convention Center awareness
- Develop ways to "unveil" or celebrate new street scaping (i.e. Chestnut Street Improvement Project)
Design Committee
- Determine needs & accomplishments regarding the the pedestrian experience, linking the river to Main Street, utility upgrades & signage
- Work with property owners to relay the benefits available through the Main Street Program
- Survey existing buildings to identify suitable applicants for BEDC grants
