Bastrop's River of Lights

It started out as "Christmas along the Colorado", but somewhere along the way the name was changed, but whatever you call it the verdict is in, "Bastrop's River of Lights" is an overwhelming success. More than 1200 visitors registered the first weekend in 2002.

The Bastrop Chamber of Commerce and the City of Bastrop Parks and Public Works Department have done an outstanding job providing something we can all be proud of.

The Entrances to the River of Lights are at Fisherman's Park and Ferry Park. The display will be available again this season from November 23rd until December 31 between 6 and 9 p.m. nightly, so be sure you find time to visit and enjoy this beautiful display of lights. Meantime, enjoy some daytime pictures and a few night photos that were taken by Matt Woerndell, former Parks Foreman. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
